This fall, Recycle Away, a recycling container supplier in Brattleboro, Vermont, supplied new recycling containers for both inside and outside the Georgia Dome for the Atlanta Falcons first home game of the 2013 NFL Season. Recycle Away worked closely with Novelis, the world’s largest recycler of used aluminum beverage cans, to design the new recycling containers to showcase the Atlanta Falcons and Novelis new “Rise Up & Recycle” campaign.
Recycle Away supplied customized stainless steel recycling containers for use throughout the Georgia Dome’s concourse. These stylish and attractive recycling containers are designed to enhance the décor of the concourse while providing convenient opportunities for fans to recycle their bottles and cans.
To provide recycling access for fans arriving at the Georgia Dome, Recycle Away supplied outside recycling containers with eye-catching custom graphics highlighting the new Rise & Up and Recycle campaign. These large capacity recycling containers are now installed at entrance gates to the Georgia Dome, and were used extensively by arriving and departing fans during the Falcons first home game on September 15.
The Atlanta Falcons recently announced the team’s Rise Up & Recycle campaign. Part of the Falcons’ wider sustainability efforts, the new program is designed both to promote recycling at the Georgia Dome and to encourage fans to do the same in their daily lives away from the stadium.
The campaign, created in partnership with Atlanta-based Novelis, the world’s largest recycling company, will coincide with the “Get Caught In the Act” program, where fans will be videotaped recycling in the stadium. Selected participants will have their videos shown on the Jumbotron at the Georgia Dome and will be rewarded with prizes for their participation.
“Recycle Away is honored to supply recycling containers for the Georgia Dome as part of the new and innovative Rise Up & Recycle Campaign,” says Michael Alexander, president of Recycle Away. “These custom designed recycling bins will be placed at high-profile locations both inside and outside the Georgia Dome to provide fans convenient recycling options and to further the Falcon’s goal to be the greenest team in the NFL.”
Alexander adds, “[Our companies] were selected by Novelis as the supplier for these containers based on our unique capability to provide custom branded recycling containers with clear graphics and restricted openings that adhere to best practices for stadium recycling.”
